Arlington, Texas is LIVE with e-PlanREVIEW®

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Irvine, CA (May 2, 2019)  |  e-PlanSoft™ is excited to congratulate the City of Arlington Texas on going live with the ultimate plan review management system, e-PlanREVIEW® integrated into the AMANDA permitting system. The Planning and Development Services Department will begin electronic plan submittals via the City of Arlington’s online permitting website at ArlingtonPermits.com starting Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Applicants can now upload drawings for review and the approval of permits electronically. This additional feature to ArlingtonPermits.com will allow applicants to easily upload digital construction plans from the comfort of their home or office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  

e-PlanSoft's PDF Scout was integrated into the arlingtonpermits.com upload process. PDF Scout can easily identify some known issues in the PDF files that are being submitted prior to assignments being created.  The documents are loaded into a temporary location on the e-PlanSoft server, a ‘read analysis’ is performed and once finished, a json response is returned and the documents are deleted from the server.

The entire permitting process from initial application stage, through resubmittals, to final approved plan sets will now be handled electronically. Applicants will be able to download the final approved plans along with their issued permit once all fees are paid and all communication will be conducted by email.  This will save time and money for both the applicants and the city by reducing printing and delivery costs as well as reducing their carbon footprint. Arlington has made a critical investment in partnering with e-PlanSoft to improve efficiency, transparency and economic growth.

e-PlanSoft was selected by Arlington back in September 2018, from start to finish the whole implementation and training process took less than 4 months and the need for onsite visits was limited since the implementation was seamless. The process was smooth and easy for the staff to learn, cutting down training as e-PlanREVIEW is user friendly.
