FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif.—April 8, 2021:  e-PlanSoft, developer and provider of industry-leading electronic plan review solutions, announced today that Weld County, Colorado has selected e-PlanREVIEW® (EPR) as its electronic plan review solution. The final decision was made after a comprehensive search conducted through an RFP process from No. B2000131, Software to Track Red Lining of Documents in Accela, issued in September of 2020.

The County currently performs its permitting activities through the Accela Civic Platform but still operates with a traditional paper plan review process. The onset of the pandemic served as a driver for the County to recognize that its permitting and plan review process could be substantially improved with an electronic plan review solution that would operate in harmony with its Accela Civic Platform.

e-PlanREVIEW integrates seamlessly into the Accela Civic Platform using Velosimo connectors, allowing the County to enjoy a comprehensive permitting and plan review solution. The solution will be used across four County departments and will encompass 70 permit types, impacting 25 workflows within ACA.  The streamlined connectivity between Accela and EPR will result in broadly improved processes and efficiencies and enhanced system usability.

In addition to the integration with its permitting solution, the County’s objectives in the move to an electronic plan review were designed to improve productivity, customer service, and support environmentally conscious operations. Cloud-based e-PlanREVIEW accommodates each objective specified in the RFP in a variety of aspects. Applicants and project participants will gain enhanced communications with significantly shorter turnaround times on project plan approvals. Additionally, the systems, which operate in harmony, eliminate the need for paper in the plan review process and redundant data entry, speeding up the process further.

“We’re excited to partner with Weld County after being selected through a rigorous RFP process,” stated Esther Byrd, Regional Sales Manager with e-PlanSoft. “In working with the County to create a seamless integration with its permitting platform, Accela, we are providing a solution that complements its existing technology that will result in comprehensive permitting and plan review functionality.”
