In 2018, San Joaquin County had 4,893 building permit applications with 4,794 permits being issued. The County anticipates an increase to these numbers, all while decreasing the amount of time it takes during the review and submittal process with the use of e-PlanREVIEW®.
EPR features easy to learn – easy to use – markup, measurement, overlay, stamp and comment tools and allows users to use these tools to review the same document at the same time, seeing each other’s changes updated in real time. The standard comments library lets users quickly insert commonly used codes, comments and instruction for the applicant to evaluate. Custom corrections report for the applicant are created on the fly as reviewers add comments streamlining the plan review process and reduce plan check turnaround time.
The goPost Public Portal enables applicants to manage their plan review projects and submit plans and supporting attachments to the County online through their web browser. County staff can check the submittal and if acceptable, route the project information and files over to e-PlanREVIEW® (EPR) for plan review. County reviewers then markup and comment plans in EPR and once ready, staff will route deliverable document packages back to goPost for the applicants to retrieve.
