FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Irvine, CA: The Town of Gypsum, CO has chosen e-PlanSoft™ for all their review solutions for 2020. By utilizing e-PlanSoft’s software, e-PlanREVIEW® (EPR), the Community Development team will have more capabilities to conduct plan reviews than before and the town citizens can look forward to a decreased plan review turnaround time. Implementation is expected to take place in the Spring of 2020 at a time when building development and construction will be flourishing.
Lana Bryce, Community Development Director for the Town of Gypsum, oversees the building, planning, and engineering departments and will be directly involved in the implementation of EPR with her team. Helping the community grow by providing more efficient customer service to the town members, accomplished by shortening the plan review turnaround time, is one of the primary reasons she chose to look for a technology to meet her team’s needs in the first place.

e-PlanSoft’s goPost customer portal is accessible from a website that is directly integrated with the e-PlanREVIEW® software. When town members submit plan proposals for review, the Community Development Team will be able to retrieve them easily on the backend and start plan review instantly. The portal is helpful because it also eliminates the need for applicants to travel to town hall to submit their plan reviews. When changes are requested or plans are approved, applicants are notified by email and the status of their review is available for them to see at any time. That is just one aspect of e-PlanREVIEW® but there are many other factors that make it the best solution for the Town of Gypsum as well.
Currently, the Town of Gypsum’s plan review process begins with a single plan review initiating with one department, and then it is passed along to a different department. This process is cumbersome because only one person can work on a review at a time and it can increase the review period drastically, which takes three weeks on average to complete. Once a final review is completed, the former review drafts then need to be manually deleted on their server.
