For Immediate Release: Irvine, CA (January 15, 2019) | e-PlanSoft™, the leading compliance software for design, construction, inspection, and assessment processes, announced that the town of Queen Creek, AZ will be moving from e-PlanSoft’s legacy product e-PlanCheck® (ePC) to their new generation of electronic plan review, e-PlanREVIEW®.
Initially, ePC was purchased through Carahsoft Technology Corp, a software procurement vendor, and included implementation services and licenses for an on premise software solution in a stand-alone environment.
Since the year 2000, Queen Creek has seen considerable growth which is where the need for electronic services originally stemmed from. Electronic plan review was implemented in December of 2017 to the current list electronic services available to constituents 24/7 through the Queen Creek Development Nexus Citizen Portal and after a full year of using ePC the Queen Creek town Council went on to approve the consent of a two-year agreement directly with with e-PlanSoft™ for conversion to their cloud-hosted solution, e-PlanREVIEW® (EPR), to support direct integration to Accela Civic Platform.
According to the town’s report, the integration between EPR and Accela was an essential element to providing efficient and timely development review processes.
In the current stand-alone application, ePC, Queen Creek staff creates duplicate entries in each system to manage and track project progress, manually verified electronic file compliance, and manually moves electronic files between the two systems.
With the upgraded EPR solution and integration to the Accela platform, staff have a single record to create and track; electronic files are automatically scanned for compliance by Scout and automatically routed via the API’s to Accela when the review and submittal process are completed.
