Case Study: Omaha, Nebraska

The City of Omaha implemented e-PlanCheck® integrated with the Accela Civic Platform going live in 2018.  The City wanted to expand its use of electronic plan review and online permitting within a fast-tracked and short time frame.

A new contract was signed with e-PlanSoft to migrate Omaha from e-PlanCheck® to e-PlanREVIEW® integrated to Accela through the Velosimo platform.

• Implementation occurred in only three months with successful integration of e-PlanREVIEW®.
• PDF Scout Inspector was included and helps to identify known issues in the PDF files prior to assignments being created.
• Accela Citizen Access Portal and Accela Backoffice were integrated seamlessly.
• Improved efficiencies such as reducing the number of paper plans submitted by mail, and shortened review timelines which led to saved money and time.
