Irvine, CA – March 24, 2016
– e-PlanSoft™, the provider of Online Electronic Plan Review solutions, recently announced that Maricopa County will implement e-PlanCheck® (EPC) for a complete electronic plan review solution. Maricopa County’s Planning & Development Department
has made simplifying the permit process a priority for its applicants by replacing the traditional paper-based plan review process with a web based electronic plan review system offered by e-PlanSoft™; e-PlanCheck® will be integrated into the Accela Civic Platform to offer the County a complete electronic plan review solution.
Implementation of the integrated solution will begin later in 2016 with configuration of e-PlanCheck commencing shortly after. The County will benefit from the implementation of EPC by eliminating the cost to print, ship and store traditional paper plans. The online application will provide online payment processing for permit application and other related fees. The integration will also provide a platform for assigning and tracking plan reviews, allowing permit applicants to track their application, plan review, permit approval, inspection and permit closure all on one web based system and provide better overall coordination for staff. This end to end solution will enable community members to apply for building permits and allow the county to perform plan reviews without printing a sheet of paper. Truepoint Solutions has been selected by the County as the professional services partner who will implement the integrated solution.
e-PlanCheck offers Maricopa County an affordable set of features that go above and beyond a typical markup review tool. These include one-click Correction Reports, a Searchable Standard Comments library, overlay and side-by-side comparison tools, support for concurrent reviews, and much more. In the integrated environment, plans uploaded to the Accela Citizen Access Portal are distributed to plan reviewers via the Accela Workflow Engine allowing county staff and reviewers the capability to access EPC by simply clicking on their plan check assignments. Together, these products provide a powerful web-based concurrent plan review solution that enables citizens to conveniently apply for building permits and plan checks online from the comfort of their own home, 24-hours-a-day / 7-days-a-week.
