Irvine, CA, December 10, 2014 – e-PlanSoft™ today announced the newest release of e-PlanCheck (ePC), the online plan review solution specifically designed to transition city and county permitting agencies away from paper-based construction plans, saving permit applicants time and money.

The 3.1 release now supports multi-page documents that allow plan checkers to review even large-format plans quickly and concurrently. Code comments and redlines are available to reviewers in real time, via their web-browser. A new easy to use page viewer control lets plan checkers easily flip through their review document and open selected pages efficiently.

EPC now provides the ability to ‘view’ or ‘hide’ markups and comments by an agency’s department and also supports departmental ‘sketch color assignments’ as well.

Additional new features in this release include:

  • Support for batch stamping plans by page range or for entire sets.
  • Support for Digital Certificates to protect approved plan sets from misuse.
  • Reviewer comments and Corrections report that support embedded hyperlinks.
  • Improved measuring tools.
  • Expansive new web-services toolkit that connects EPC directly to an agency’s permit or enterprise software.

e-PlanCheck has been designed with significant input from building officials and plan checkers alike and is considered the most user friendly, easy to use plan review software available. Reviewer’s comments appear as pop-up on screen to reduce clutter and because EPC stores all information in a secure database, comments are protected from unauthorized access.
