Press Releasee-PlanSoft and MaintStar’s Continued Partnership Creates Better Client Experiences for California Agencies - e-PlanSoft

September 3, 2020by Brandy Parslow

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: e-PlanSoft™, developers of the ultimate plan review document management software – e-PlanREVIEW® and MaintStar, leaders in Enterprise Asset Management and Land Management Software and it’s world-class workflow capabilities, sign a 3-year resellers agreement that will continue to support their longstanding partnership, improve their customer’s experiences and streamline the workflow between the companies software.

It comes as no surprise that all agencies during this time are faced with unprecedented community health and business challenges, Alameda County and the City of La Mesa, both in California, aren’t any different. Both agencies had to find a way to get their permitting departments online faster so that their applicants can submit permitting and plan review documents.  Both municipalities are clients of MaintStar’s who are using MaintStar’s Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and Land Management System (LMS) with its world-class workflow capabilities,  and originally bought e-PlanSoft’s legacy plan review solution, e-PlanCheck™ (ePC) to be implemented into it, however as time passed and a better software became available opted to upgrade to e-PlanREVIEW® (EPR).   Due to the pandemic, both agencies had an immediate need to utilize EPR for their staff and communities during the implementation of the EAMS and LMS solutions. In order to bridge the gap and provide a quick and reliable portal for their applicants, e-PlanSoft’s goPost™ Public Portal was quickly added for both agencies so that they can get online faster during these times.

“The world looks very different than it did six months ago.  Applicants are submitting plan sets more online than ever before, and their priorities and expectations have changed. No longer are the days where a homeowner can walk their plans into City Hall and because of this more and more agencies are looking for public portals that integrate with their solutions,” said Sean Hooper, Director of Professional Services for e-PlanSoft.

On top of the pandemic bringing these changes, the City of La Mesa was also experiencing vandalism at City Hall from protestors.  This caused them to shut down even longer and in need of a solution. In need of a working portal for their permitting and plan reviews while their MaintStar integrations were still in process, the City reached out to e-PlanSoft to inquire about goPost™.

e-PlanSoft™ looks forward to continuing to serve clients in partnership with Maintstar for years to come.
