East Coast Regional Sales Manager

Job Description

Regional Sales (Individual Contributor) in Public Sector Software Sales (SaaS) related to permitting, building, and safety and community development processes. This is a remote sales position reporting to HQ in Irvine, CA. Preferred candidate to reside in Georgia or Florida and/or states east of Illinois.

Ideal sales manager candidate will prospect and close sales lead to help generate revenue for the company. This is an individual contributor role and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy for the Eastern US Region specifically to local, county, and state government agencies. software SaaS sales experience in county and local government is a requirement.

Primary Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)

  • Develop and leverage company product knowledge to provide technical expertise for sales presentations, product demonstrations presentations remotely or at customer locations
  • Ability to close complex deals with government officials
  • Participate in consultations with prospective users and/or product capability assessments and validation
  • Create formal networks with key decision-makers
  • Responsible for updating sales opportunities using Salesforce
  • Provide regular and efficient sales and regional marketing updates to Management

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience in government procurement process’ including responding to RFP’s
  • Software Sales Experience a must.
  • Understanding of permitting/land use requirements as it relates to plan reviews/plan check process
  • Ability to maintain relationships with resources at all levels of a prospect organization
  • Thorough understanding of sales methodology such as Miller Heiman Strategic Selling
  • Must be able to overcome objections, develop business cases and be held accountable for close deals
  • Able to articulate and understand the client strategy and solution strategy to a technical level of detail
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Efficiently and effectively run operations of the assigned region to increase sales and market share.
  • Will create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of regional results, forecasts, and performance metrics to reach revenue goals
  • Strong work ethic and attitude
  • Ability to travel as needed within assigned territory and other locations, including e-PlanSoft corporate headquarters
  • Ability to travel and attend tradeshows, conferences, and expo’s within your assigned region.
  • Participate in the ongoing analysis of financial and other KPI’s at a regional, market segment and customer level
  • Possess a high level of specialized sales and product solution knowledge including product demonstration
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years Software Sales – SaaS Solutions selling Public Sector agencies. (city, county and state government) Land Use, Public Works. – Permitting Process
  • Construction Design, Architectural background a plus
  • Salesforce CRM experience and Miller Heiman Strategic Selling a plus.

We are a small Applications IT company targeting city, county, and state agencies in the permitting, building, and planning process area. We are changing the way people collaborate on construction plan review projects. We’ve been around for more than eight years, winning contracts over our big-name competitors. Based in Irvine, California we are a small team of highly talented individuals. The job involves the following responsibilities

The ideal candidate has excellent relationship skills and understand how to implement and provide client training. A strong passion for customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for client training in both online and on-site training sessions. Experience with city, county and state agency permitting processes is a BIG plus.

Software Trainer and Implementation Responsibilities

  • Ability to implement SaaS model Software including configuration, workflow, and training of the software to government sector staff
  • Establish and maintain the training of new clients on a web-based plan review application.
  • Coordinates resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plan and deliver a quality implementation to the customer
  • Assist in regularly scheduled project meetings with customers and support staff
  • Support the performance of defining training curriculum scope and requirements
  • Develop and maintain online training courses, training guides, and project documentation such as project plans, schedules, Smart Sheets, punch lists, configuration guides, etc
  • Assist the users in acceptance testing (UAT), developing procedures, and conducting user training
  • Perform or coordinate the performance of internal processes relating to product configuration for applicable projects
  • Act as an external contact on selected aspects of a project, as directed by management
  • Act as an expert resource for Customer Service, Tech Support, and other departments in all functional and content areas associated with a project
  • Develop and maintain documentation, client configuration, business rules, etc. as specified for each customer
